Dedicated to my brother and his wife, who are no longer with us now. A wedding is an expression of love that you invite friends and family to witness. It then becomes a declaration of love or a vow that you will love, honor and cherish each other for the rest of your lives. Wedding planning is also an expression of love, not just to your future spouse but also to the loved ones that you have invited as your guests to share in the joy of this moment. There is one kind of wedding for which you cannot plan. It is one of the most memorable kinds of weddings you cannot plan and also one of the most beautiful. What kind of wedding am I writing about? Unless you have a crystal ball or know how to manipulate Mother Nature, you cannot plan for a rainy day wedding. However, if you are planning an outdoor wedding, it is always a good idea to be ready for any contingency. You will want to make sure that you have an alternate indoor plan or set up enough tent space to cover all of your guests. Everyone who attends an outdoor, rainy day wedding will remember and appreciate it for the rest of their lives; especially of it is done right. Mementos like spring wedding favors and garden wedding favors add to the memory that your guests will carry home with them. Do you remember as a small child, watching The Little Mermaid or even Beauty and the Beast? As enchanting as these childhood movies were and still are, they had some familiarities. Everyone knows that the Little Mermaid finds love, and of all places it is not under the sea, just like the main character in Beauty and the Beast. Alas the day has finally come. You have gone your entire life wondering what this precise moment would feel like. Your special someone drops to one knee and asks you to be their one and only for all time. You nod your head and fight back tears of joy while wrapping your arms ever so tightly around your soul mate.Time seems to come to an abrupt stop, and you are so overjoyed that you feel as thought you will burst with happiness. Imagine the reaction from your friends and family when you share your joyous news with them. This is just the first step in the direction of your new life; your happily ever after. The only thing left for you to do now is to plan your beautiful event out right down to the finest detail. Close your eyes and imagine for a moment that you are surrounded by family and friends. Everyone’s voices soften to murmurs of adoration, while their eyes intently focus on you. This day is all about you because you are its star. The flowers are all arranged, the rings are delicately polished so that they glisten and gleam just right, and all of the dcor right down to the wedding favors are waiting for that magical moment. Many couples dream of proclaiming their love for each other by the beautiful shores of a beach in the Caribbean, Maldives, Hawaii or any other popular beach in the world. However, not all couples are made for beach weddings. Generally, you need to be fuss free and rather informal to make the most of a beach wedding. The average time of day for most weddings is one o’clock in the afternoon. There is nothing wrong with getting married at one o’clock in the afternoon, if you are an average kind of couple. However, if you are not average, you may want to consider saying your nuptials at a more romantic time of day. Another very popular time to sanctify your faith in one another is at sunset. Pulling in a close third is a fresh and renewing sunrise. To start the day rejoicing in the one you love is always a great idea. Remember your college days? The good times which you shared with your friends during those long lost yester-years still replay frequently through your head. Remember all of your friends? How they aspired more then anything to have the picture perfect family and a career to die for after graduation. Those were the days weren’t they? There is nothing like a wedding to bring family and friends together. When a couple first announces their plans to tie the knot, clearly there will be lots of excitement in the air. Parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles and especially the grandparents see this as a memorable occasion that is to be cherished right through everyone’s lives, more so the couple. |
